Busy Hands and Hearts for Our Community in March, 2024

We gathered to make Easter ornaments and cards to hand out at nursing homes and to friends who come to our food pantry. We pray that the ornaments and cards will touch their hearts and remind them Jesus is risen and lives for them..

We had a Women’s Christmas Fellowship at Alicia’s home on December 15th.  Instead of exchanging gifts, we decided to purchase and donate baby items for Today’s Choice Pregnancy Center in Newton, NJ.

Busy Hands and Hearts for Our Community in November, 2023

THANKSGIVING…　a time to give thanks to our ever faithful God and a time to share His blessings with others.   

Together with Newfoundland U.M.C. we provided 31 Thanksgiving baskets for local families.  This mission work has been collaborated with our Sunday school children supported by Holy Faith Family for years.

New Jersey District LWML Mission Grant for “Anchor of Hope”

On September 24, 2023, Joanne Naumowicz, Gospel Outreach & VP for the NJ District LWML, presented Gerry Cleaves of Anchor of Hope with a LWML Mission grant check in the amount of $3,000.  The grant request was submitted by Gloria Dei Guild.

WHO WE ARE

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. For 80 years (1942-2022), the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

MISSION STATEMENT

The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.

To assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry.
